How the TRTL ROI Lab works, what its numbers mean, and what they do not.

Purpose of the ROI Lab

The TRTL ROI Lab is an interactive tool on our website. It is available to visitors worldwide. It lets you compare two scenarios, a current enquiry rate and a scenario enquiry rate, to see how different assumptions could change estimated monthly revenue.

These ROI Calculator Terms and Conditions apply whenever you use it. They sit alongside our Terms of Use.

Illustrative only

The ROI Lab is a simple illustrative model. It is not a forecast, projection, promise or guarantee of any result, and using it does not create any commitment by TRTL MEDIA to deliver a particular outcome.

It is not financial, investment, tax, legal or business advice. Please make business decisions using your own records and, where appropriate, advice from a qualified professional.

How the estimate is calculated

Each scenario uses the same four inputs. The figures shown are monthly.

StepCalculation
EnquiriesMonthly website visitors × enquiry rate
CustomersEnquiries × enquiry-to-customer rate
Estimated revenueCustomers × average revenue per customer
Revenue differenceScenario revenue − current revenue
Percentage difference(Scenario − current) ÷ current × 100

Inputs you control

InputMeaningStarting value
Monthly website visitorsPeople who visit your website in a month1,000
Current enquiry rateShare of visitors who enquire today1.0%
Scenario enquiry rateThe rate you want to test1.5%
Enquiry-to-customer rateShare of enquiries that become paying customers20%
Average revenue per customerWhat a typical customer pays you, in pounds sterling (£)£25,000

The starting values are placeholders so the tool has something to display. They are not industry benchmarks, averages or targets. You are responsible for entering figures that reflect your own business.

The tool displays amounts with the £ (pound sterling) symbol. If you work in another currency, enter amounts in that currency; the calculation is identical and the symbol is only a label. Number formats follow UK conventions.

Worked example

Using the starting values above:

CurrentScenario
Visitors1,0001,000
Enquiry rate1.0%1.5%
Enquiries1015
Customers (20%)23
Estimated revenue£50,000£75,000

The model shows a difference of £25,000 per month, or +50%. This is arithmetic on assumed numbers. It does not mean a website project will produce this change.

What the estimate does not include

The ROI Lab estimates revenue, not profit. It does not account for:

  • how much traffic your website actually receives or how that traffic arrives;
  • costs, margins, discounts, refunds, taxes or the cost of our services;
  • pricing, your offer, sales follow-up speed or sales-team performance;
  • seasonality, competition, market conditions or property-cycle changes;
  • advertising spend or any other marketing activity.

Accuracy and rounding

Results are rounded for display and use the numbers exactly as entered. We take care with the tool but do not warrant that it is error-free or always available. Slider limits may stop you entering values outside the supported range.

Your data

Everything you enter is processed locally in your browser. We do not receive, store or share the values you enter into the ROI Lab. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle information you send us through the enquiry form.

Liability

You use the ROI Lab at your own risk and should not rely on it as the sole basis for any decision. To the fullest extent permitted by law, TRTL MEDIA is not liable for loss arising from reliance on its outputs. The limitations in our Terms of Use apply.

Changes and contact

We may update the ROI Lab or these terms at any time. The current version is on this page. Questions? Email hello.trtlmedia@gmail.com.
